SBI BSNL launches MobiCash, digital wallet

sbi-bsnl-mobicash-launchState Bank of India   (SBI), in partnership with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) today launched its mobile wallet application ‘State Bank MobiCash’ for feature as well as smartphones. The new wallet services will initially be available in Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana and Bihar and expanded pan-India by the end of December. MobiCash will allow users to deposit cash through BSNL retail outlets and withdraw funds from their account. SBI already has an application named SBI Buddy for smartphone users. With the large network of BSNL and SBI, this wallet will reach the remotest areas of the country, in line with the government’s digitisation mission, said Finance Minister Arun Jaitley who launched the wallet.

State Bank MobiCash Mobile Wallet app provides services such as Cash Deposit, Transfer from Wallet to Wallet, Transfer from Wallet to SBI bank account, Transfer from Wallet to Another Bank Account, Mobile/Utility Payments, Prepaid Momobicash-app-by-sbi-bsnlbile Recharge. MobiCash users can Deposit Money into the wallet, request Mini Statement, Balance Check and so on. It should be noted that as per RBI’s regulation, users cannot withdraw cash from SBI MobiCash prepaid wallet(Delete and write “Cash-out is permissible for full-KYC wallet only which can be easily done at BSNL CSPs”). The following services can be seamlessly experienced using the application:

• Recharge
• Bill Pay
• Transfer
• Wallet to wallet
• Wallet to SBI
• Wallet to Other(IFSC)
• Wallet to Other(MMID)
