BSNL Officers to go on Indefinite Relay Hunger Strike from 29th May 2017

bsnl-strikeOn the call of Joint Forum of Executives Associations, BSNL Officers across India under the banner of Sanchar Nigam Executive Association (SNEA) to go on Indefinite Relay Hunger Strike and Work According to Rule from 29th May 2017 across India. According to a note issued by Sanchar Nigam Executive Association on its official website all Executives will participate in agitation in support of their demands.
Association members demanded immediate issuance of orders for replacement of non-standard scales E1A and E2A with pay scales of E2 and E3 for JTO/JAO and SDE/AO cadres. They also demanded promotion order from JTO (T) to SDE (T) under DPC/LDCE quota and issuance of promotion orders in all other cadres, in the wings under both quotas. They also demanded extending the superannuation benefit to the BSNL recruited employees by 30% along with revision in date of implementation. Association members urged the department to extend initial basic of Rs 22,820 to the executives recruited post January 1, 2017.
It said Officers in DoT is not serious to correct the mistake even though BSNL management has taken a positive stand on E2 and E3 scales. Similarly for the issues pertaining to BSNL, not much progress has been made except for some movement of files and lining up the action plan on the issues. So we have to resume the agitation programs from where we left in April 2017.
